Special election set for Iowa Senate seat

Des Moines , Iowa: Governor Chet Culver has announced a special election to take place on January 4, 2011.[1] This election will fill the vacancy left by former State Senator Kim Reynolds, who, on November 2, won election to be Iowa's next Lieutenant Governor. Reynolds resigned on November 12.
Reynolds was elected along with Governor-elect Terry E. Branstad.
