A Springfield Local School District Bond Issue question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Mahoning County, which is in Ohio, where it was defeated.
This question would have authorized the Springfield Local School District to issue bonds in the amount of $6,398,261, increasing district debt by that amount, and an additional tax levy of 0.5 mills ($0.5 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in order to pay off this debt. This question would have also authorized the levy of additional property taxes in the amount of 2 mills ($2 per $1,000 of assessed valuation).[1]
