A St. James City Sewage Bond Measure was on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the city of St. James which is in Phelps County.

This measure seeks to issue a bond in the amount of $5.2 million in order to help pay for improving and extending the sewage system in the city as well as pay for additional operational and maintenance costs.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the City of St. James, Missouri, issue its sewerage system revenue bonds in the amount of up to Five Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,200,000) for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, extending and improving the City’s sewerage system, including the acquisition of real estate and easements related thereto, the cost of operation and the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds to be payable solely from the revenues derived by the City from the operation of its sewerage system, including all future extensions and improvements thereto?[3]
