A St. Louis City Tobacco Tax question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in St. Louis City, which is in Missouri, where it was approved.

This question authorized the addition of 73 cents tax per pack of cigarettes, 25% tax to the cost of loose tobacco for cigarettes, and 15% tax on all other tobacco products. The additional revenue from this tax is estimated to be between $283 million and $423 million and would be used for the funding of public schools, higher education and smoking eradication programs.[1]
