This measure sought to add to the current drainage levy by a rate of $.30 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for drainage maintenance costs in the village.[2]

The question on the ballot:
An additonal tax for the benefit of the Village of St. Paris for the purpose of CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT at a rate not exceeding three (3) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.30 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
