Stacey Fortes
Stacey Fortes is a justice of the Massachusetts District Courts. She was appointed by Chief Justice Paul C. Dawley effective July 31, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Thomas M. Brennan. Fortes was appointed regional administrative justice for Region 4, which includes the district courts in Lowell, Ayer, Concord, and Woburn, in 2013.[1][2]
Fortes previously served as a judge for the Lynn District Court and the Peabody District Court.[3] She was first appointed to the bench by Gov. Mitt Romney (R) in 2006.[1][4]
Biography
Fortes' professional experience includes work as an assistant attorney general and as the chief of district court prosecutions for the Suffolk District Attorney's Office.[1]
