I'm Stacy Crosslin and I have served as a public school educator for Meade County Schools for twenty-seven years. Fourteen of those years were spent in the classroom teaching mathematics at Meade County High School and thirteen as an elementary school guidance counselor at Flaherty Elementary. Through my experiences in public education, I have witnessed the problems facing our community and fostered the hope of the next generation; I have dedicated her life to solving those problems and inspiring that hope. Now, I am ready and willing to be the voice that faithfully represents and advocates in Frankfort for the needs of this exceptional community. In 1993, my husband and I made the 27th District our home and raised our family in Meade County. We have three children, two who are students at Murray State University and one who is a student at Meade County High School.
  • I'm honest, trustworthy, and have a servant's heart. My entire adult life has been dedicated to serving the public in my professional and private life.
  • I'm a good listener and skilled mediator. As a legislator, I will strive to reach across the aisle to find common ground to develop responsible and fair legislation.
  • I have no desire to become a career politician. I'm just an average citizen who wants to see the government working for the people again, not for big money, corporate interests, or divisive political agendas.
Public Education:

For the brightest future in our Commonwealth, it is critical that we ensure all students have access to fully funded public education and the most skilled educators. We need a leader who also understands that protecting our public employee pensions is vital to attracting and retaining those most skilled educators.

Access to Affordable Healthcare:
Citizens in Meade and Hardin County, like all Kentuckians, depend on having stable, affordable healthcare. We need a leader committed to fighting against insurers who want to take advantage of vulnerable families in our Commonwealth, especially those with pre-existing conditions.

Fair Tax Policy :
Tax reform has too often sought to profit the wealthiest individuals and corporations instead of everyday people. It is time for tax policy to benefit all Kentuckians. To keep more money in the pockets of working families, we need a leader who will advocate for fair, sensible tax policies.

Labor and Living Wage

Strong unions benefit working families and strengthen our middle class. Unions provide workers with better healthcare, higher wages, and safer work environments. Unions also create a highly-skilled and professionally trained workforce which increases productivity and decreases workplace injuries and death. We need a leader who will advocate for workers' rights, both union and non-union, and who supports raising the minimum wage.
