Stacy Scott was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 6 of the Mississippi State Senate.

Scott was also a candidate in the 2011 special election for District 6 of the Mississippi State Senate. Although party affiliation was not listed on the special election ballot, Scott ran as an independent. The special election took place on January 11, 2011. He ran to the fill the seat vacated by Patrick Nunnelee (R) who was elected to the U.S. House in the November 2, 2010, general election.

Scott was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. He served in the National Guard and received an honorable discharge. He earned his B.A. and M.A. at Mississippi State University. He is a teacher at South Pontotoc High School, teaching Geography and Mississippi Studies. He has also served as Park Commissioner and Alderman in Sherman, Mississippi.

Scott lost in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 6. He ran unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011. Incumbent Nancy Adams Collins ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Collins defeated Scott in the general election on November 8, 2011.[1]

Scott was defeated by Nancy Adams Collins in the January 11, 2011 special election to Mississippi State Senate District 6.[2]
