Stan Olsen (b. 1952) is a former Republican member of the Nevada Senate, representing the Clark 12 District from January 19, 2010, to December 2010.

He was appointed by the Clark County Commission on January 19, 2010, to fill the seat left vacant by the resignation of Sen. Warren Hardy in June 2009.[1]

Olsen did not seek the Republican nomination in the June 8, 2010, primary.

Olsen attended the College of Southern Nevada and University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His professional experience includes serving as president of the Olsen Strategic Group, which represented clients in the 2009 session of the Legislature. He is a retired lieutenant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, where he served from 1973 to 2007. In the latter part of his career with the Department, he also represented the agency as a lobbyist at the Legislature. Henderson Police Department, 1971-1973.
