General: He was defeated in the general election on August 7, 2014, after receiving 13.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Robert Richardson Jr., Richard H. Dunavant, Shara A. Flacy, Hershell Koger, Robert W. Curtis, and Randal Lee Sands.
