Stan Reeser
Stan Reeser is a member of the Wichita Public Schools Board of Education in Kansas, representing District 4. He assumed office in 2017. His current term ends on January 10, 2028.
Reeser ran for re-election to the Wichita Public Schools Board of Education to represent District 4 in Kansas. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023.
Reeser was appointed to the seat after former officeholder Jeff Davis moved out of the district and resigned.[1]
Biography
Reeser graduated from Wichita State University. He was a member of the Wichita City Council from 1991 to 1995 and he served as vice mayor of Wichita in 1992. His professional experience includes working as an assistant manager and in supply chain.[2]

While serving on the Wichita City Council I advocated against raising the property tax mill and I was one of the first to advocate for community policing, which I believe reduce the crime rate without damaging the overall city budget. I also had numerous paving and drainage projects completed that had been “sitting” in the City’s Capital Improvement Projects – some as long as 10 years. I also helped save various historical landmarks most notably the John Mack Bridge. Public service has dominated my life even as a young man straight out of high school at the age of 18, I served on the Wichita’s Citizen Participation Organization, which is now called District Advisory Boards.
