State Building Construction Committee, Kansas State Legislature
The State Building Construction Joint Committee is a standing committee of the Kansas State Legislature.
Joint committees of the Kansas State Legislature are made up of members from the Kansas House of Representatives and the Kansas State Senate. According to the Kansas Legislative Research Department, joint conference committees usually include three members each from the House and Senate. Regarding joint statutory committees, the membership, appointment process, and duties are defined by the statute establishing the committee.[1]

The five senate members shall be the chairperson of the committee on ways and means of the senate, or a member of the committee on ways and means of the senate appointed by the chairperson, two senators appointed by the president and two senators appointed by the minority leader. The five representative members shall be the chairperson of the committee on appropriations of the house of representatives, or a member of the committee on appropriations of the house of representatives appointed by the chairperson, two representatives appointed by the speaker and two representatives appointed by the minority leader.[4][3] | ” |
