State Representative looks to impeach Circuit Justice Russell Steele
January 26, 2012
Missouri: Judge Russell E. Steele has come under fire from Missouri Representative Zach Wyatt. House Resolution 333, sponsored by Wyatt, calls for Judge Steele's impeachment. The House Resolution accuses Steele of various breaches of Judicial Conduct.[1][2] Some of the accusations include perjury, tampering with a witness, favoritism, a romantic relationship with his assistant, having an ex parte communication with another judge, and threatening a potential witness.[3]
If Wyatt's resolution is successful Judge Steele could face impeachment before the Missouri Supreme Court.
