State corporate farming law challenged

North Dakota: Cook Waterfowl, a Delaware corporation, has filed suit against the state of North Dakota challenging a law that prohibits corporations from owning farmland in the state. Cook Waterfowl is a nonprofit organization that buys up land to use as waterfowl habitat says that the law is unconstitutional under the federal commerce clause. The organization is confident, saying that laws of a similar nature have been struck down in other states.[1]
