State executive officials serving in home states
State executive officials often stress their connection to their state and its citizens. But how many of these officials were actually born in the state that they are now governing? Are there any discernible patterns from office to office? This page looks at where current officeholders in the top four offices - governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and secretary of state - were born and where they serve.
