Two of the 538 state legislative races in 2019 were decided by fewer than 100 votes. One election was for a seat in the Mississippi House of Representatives and the other for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. Both elections resulted in a change in partisan control, with Democrats picking up both seats.
