Stayton City Revised Charter Adoption Measure 24-290 (November 2009)
The Stayton City Revised Charter Adoption Measure 24-290 was on the November 3 ballot in Marion County for voters in the City of Stayton.
The measure sought to adopt a revised city charter. If approved the charter would be implemented in 2010 and would replace the current charter from 1993 which is outdated with laws and provisions that are no longer relevant or are now covered by state laws. The 2010 charter is believed to be simpler in wording and easier for residents to understand.[1]
