My name is Steele Parker Hughes and I am running to be the first Representative of the new State House District 5. I am a family man, I'm the proud son of a Detroit Fire Chief, husband to a dedicated teacher and a dedicated father to a beautiful 10 month old baby girl. I have a deep passion for the community, specifically the youth and elderly which has led me to pursue the office of State Representative so I can bring much needed changes, transparency and resources to the people in need.
  • I am running an honest campaign focused on kitchen table issues. I am a man of high integrity and transparency and that's exactly what we need from our elected officials and community leaders.
  • Once elected I will be available to the community. Over the last 2 years I have served as the Constituent Services Director for House District 10 focusing on community issues and civic engagement. I have assisted in resolving over 4,000 UIA disputes along with 250 DHHS claims. I plan on being a servent leader who is dependable and reliable to the entire community.
  • I promise to show up to work everyday and do my best to represent my family, my community and the constituents of House District 5.
