Stephanie Floyd is a native of Birmingham, and known for her experience as a finance professional, a Realtor ®, salesperson, an entrepreneur, a mother of four, and a candidate for Jefferson County School Board, District 3.

The daughter of a Vestavia Hills High School educator, Ms. Floyd has also raised four children, three of whom attended District 3 high schools. “One of the things that concerns me is whether our students are getting the kind of preparation that students receive in other school districts.

“For years, voters in the newly created District 3, which includes voters in Center Point, Fultondale, Irondale and Pinson, have felt a lack of strong representation on the board,” says Ms. Floyd, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance/real estate and a Master’s degree in corporate finance.

Ms. Floyd plans a “listening campaign to get to know educators, parents, and students in Irondale, Center Point, Pinson and Fultondale. “I am running for public office to serve all of the people in District 3, to evaluate and improve student success, and to collaborate with other board members to be a part of the solution when difficult issues arise.”
