Everett ran in a special election for Massachusetts House of Representatives 12th Suffolk District. The seat was vacant following Linda Dorcena Forry's (D) election to the Massachusetts State Senate. Everett was defeated by Dan Cullinane in the August 13 Democratic primary.[1][2][3]
