Stephanie Seymour
Stephanie Kulp Seymour is a federal judge on senior status with the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. She first joined the 10th Circuit after a nomination from President Jimmy Carter.
Early life and education
Born in Battle Creek, Michigan, Seymour graduated from Smith College with her B.A. in 1962 and from Harvard Law School with her J.D. in 1965.[1]

Seymour was nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit by President Jimmy Carter on August 28, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629. Seymour was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on October 31, 1979, and she received her commission on November 2, 1979. Seymour served as the chief judge of the court from 1994 to 2000 before assuming senior status on October 16, 2005.[1] She was succeeded in her position by Judge Jerome Holmes.
