Campaign website
Bellows' campaign website stated the following:

Education Reform The education system needs reform now. Removing common core and reclaiming sovereignty of the Vermont education system should be a priority. By doing so teachers will be able to format test that reflect what is being taught in the classroom. Introducing pre - tech programs for students at the 7th and 8th grade levels. NOT every student learns the same. We need to offer programs to accommodate students. Electricians , plumbers, and contractors are in high demand. Students need options. We need to provide them the tools to find the roads to success!
Solutions must be made to create an environment for small businesses to thrive. Regulations in Vermont are out of control. Reducing the Vermont payroll tax and corporate income tax will be a top priority. Current corporate income tax is 8.5 % In the united states Vermont has the 4th highest tax burden overall. ACT 250 is expensive and drives business out of the state . I will travel statewide to meet with small business owners and concerned Vermonters. Your input matters!
Our service members sacrifice everything to ensure our freedom and safety. Veterans deserve our support and gratitude. I would look into further tax exemptions for Vermont Veterans including our VT national Guard. 22 veterans per day commit suicide . This is not acceptable . We must further improve our VA clinics and help create programs for our Veterans.
The current plan is not sustainable. There is no evidence that these proposals will work. Tax payers will end up paying for them. Electricity is generally produced from fossil fuels. Now they want to add more taxation to citizens with H.715 The Grid is not designed to sustain the current proposals. As governor of Vermont I will be one of the leaders discussing this issue.
The current state debt as of 2022 to date and counting $4,539,876,758 How is this acceptable?
shall not infringed for the security of each individual. Self defense is important aspect of retaining freedom. I will uphold the constitutional rights of every Vermont citizen. We live in a beautiful state where hunting is very popular. If your concern is about gun safety, we can develop the proper classes for anyone to attend, very similar to hunters safety course.
Life was intended to be celebrated and valued. I value the creation of life upon conception. Every child should have a chance at life as nature intended. This is a serious issue. California medicaid patients showed 154% higher risk of death by suicide after having abortion. Accountability of our actions must be understood with such serious life threatening decisions. I would highly recommend the movie "Unplanned"
I will be reaching out to Vermonters statewide to seek input or concerns. As Governor I will have a priority list. Solutions must be made to benefit Vermonters. We must create an environment for small businesses to succeed. We need to create better schools and have lower cost of living. With the proper strategy and hard work we will solve Vermonters problems. I am a small business owner and a dedicated Leader for Vermont. We can find the solutions. All we need is someone with courage to lead this effort. We need Vermonters voices to be heard. I will make these efforts a reality![2] |
