Stephen Bing
Stephen Bing (March 31, 1965 - June 22, 2020) was a real estate heir. He was a major donor to California's Prop 87 in 2006. According to the Los Angeles Times, the approximately $50 million that Bing spent on the failed initiative was "the biggest single personal investment in a ballot proposition in state history."[1]
Bing died on June 22, 2020. In a tweet the following day, President Bill Clinton wrote, "I loved Steve Bing very much. He had a big heart, and he was willing to do anything he could for the people and causes he believed in. I will miss him and his enthusiasm more than I can say, and I hope he’s finally found peace."[2]
