I have a technology background and am currently employed in the public school system. I firmly believe that a solid education is a basic human right. I believe that creating an equitable environment for our student's is critical to the growth of our community and city as a whole.
  • Every student deserves an equal chance to succeed in a career of their choosing. Offering supplementary learning can bridge language and opportunity gaps.
  • A foundational education begins at home. By serving the parents in our community, we can directly impact the lives of our students.
  • Taking care of our children is taking care of Omaha. Providing a learning environment that is equitable to all is essential to creating a healthy Omaha.
Education and Childhood development, Economic Policy, and Environmental Policy.
My first job was working for an after-school program at the elementary level. I worked there for about 3 years. I was able to work with elementary students and feel truly blessed to have been given the opportunity. I gained the insight to understand that not all student's require the same attention, opportunities, or equipment to succeed.
I believe it is important for a candidate to have experience in education and/or family services.
The ability to communicate effectively with educators, students, and those who are unfamiliar with what the Learning Community has to offer.
