Stephen Buehrer
Stephen Buehrer (b. January 1, 1967) was a Republican member of the Ohio State Senate and served as Majority Whip. Buehrer served in the Ohio State House of Representatives from 1999 to 2006. He joined the Ohio State Senate in 2007. He has served in that position until 2011, representing the 1st District. In 2011, he resigned to take a position as Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. He was replaced by Cliff Hite (R)
Buehrer worked as Director of Legislative Affairs for the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services from 1991 to 1993. He then worked as Deputy Director for the Ohio Department of Administrative Services from 1993 to 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he worked as Chief of Human Resources for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. He has worked as an attorney for Barber, Kaper, Steven, and Robinson since 1997.
Buehrer earned his B.S. from Bowling Green State University in 1989. He went on to receive his J.D. from Capital University Law School in 1997.
