Stephen Buoniconti was a Democratic member of the Massachusetts State Senate. He represented the Hampden district from 2005 to 2011.

Buoniconti began his political experience by joining the West Springfield Democratic Town Committee. In 1992, he became a member of the West Springfield Town Meeting until 1996. After a two year interval, he rejoined the West Springfield Town Meeting until 2000. In 1998, he joined the West Springfield School Committee and stayed for two years. At this time he became a representative of Massachusetts until 2004.[1]

Buoniconti has professional experience as an attorney.

Buoniconti earned his Bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and his Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law.

Stephen Buoniconti is involved with two organizations, the Dante Club and Elks Lodge.

Stephen Buoniconti has been involved with the Joint Committee on Election Laws and the Joint Committee on Financial Services and was a former member of the West Springfield Recreation Commission.

Stephen Buoniconti served on a number of legislative committees, including the Election Laws Committee, the Financial Services Committee, the Labor and Workforce Development Committee, the Public Health Committee, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, and the Revenue Committee.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Buoniconti was re-elected in the Senate election for the Hampden district.[2] In this election he raised $213,981-; of that total $188,131 (90.9%) was from in state contributions and $18,825 (9.1%) was from out of state contributions.[3]
