Stephen Canessa
Stephen Canessa (b. 1980) was a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives representing the Twelfth Bristol from 2005 until his resignation on June 24, 2011. Canessa resigned June 24 to take a job as a legislative liaison for SouthCoast Health System.[1]
Canessa served as Vice Chairman of the Lakeville School Committee from 2001-2004.
He is a member of the Lakeville Democratic Town Committee, National Dropout Prevention Center/Network Board, Plymouth County Democratic League, Sons of Italy, and the Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference's Transportation Committee.[2]

Canessa won re-election to the Twelfth Bristol seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14 primary. He also faced no opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Patrick won re-election for the Massachusetts House of Representatives election for the Twelfth Bristol district.[4] In this election he raised $76,415-; of that total $72,495- (95.1%) was from in state contributions and $3,765- (4.9%) was from out of state contributions.[5]
