Governor of Alaska Mike Dunleavy (R) appointed Cox Attorney General of Alaska on August 28, 2025 to replace Treg Taylor.[1]

Biography

Stephen Cox's career experience includes working as the chief legal officer at Bristol Bay Industrial. He was the principal attorney for Apache Alaska. Cox earned a B.S. in computer science from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.[2]
