Stephen Dackin
Stephen Dackin is an officeholder of the Director of the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
Dackin resigned as Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction on June 3, 2022.[1]
Biography
Stephen Dackin earned an M.A. in educational administration from the University of Dayton. Dackin's career experience includes working as the superintendent of school and community partnerships of Columbus State Community College and the superintendent of Reynoldsburg City Schools.[2]
Political career
Ohio State Board of Education (2019-2022)
Dackin was appointed to the Ohio State Board of Education by Gov. Mike DeWine (R) on June 26, 2019.[3] On December 11, 2020, Gov. Mike DeWine (R) reappointed Dackin to another term.[4] Dackin resigned on February 25, 2022, before the end of his second term.[5]
