Stephen Lamb
Stephen P. Lamb is a former Vice Chancellor for the Delaware Court of Chancery. In March of 2009, he informed Delaware Governor Jack Markell that he would not be seeking a second term on the court.[1] He is now retired.[2]
Education
Lamb received his B.A. in history in 1971 from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. in 1975 from Georgetown University Law Center.[3]
Career
After law school, Lamb served a federal district court judicial clerkship, and later worked as a Special Counsel in the Office of General Counsel of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. After that, Lamb practiced law for a number of years in the area of corporate and securities litigation in Wilmington, Delaware. First he was with the firm Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher and Flom, where he was a partner from 1983 to 1995, and later as a principal in several smaller firms. In 1997 he received his appointment to the Court of Chancery.[3]

Judge Lamb is professionally associated with the American Law Institute, the Delaware State Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court, Richard S. Rodney Chapter.[3]
