Stephen M. Holden
Stephen M. Holden was a senior judge on the Vicinage 3 Superior Court in New Jersey.[1] He was appointed in 2003 and retired from the bench on June 30, 2013. Holden was recalled to serve a term that expired in 2016.[2][3]
Education
Holden attended Temple University for his undergraduate degree. He received a master of social service degree in 1967 from Bryn Mawr College, and a Ph.D in 1974 from the same institution. His J.D. is from Rutgers University School of Law, which he graduated with in 1983.[4]
Career
Prior to joining the Superior Court, Holden worked as an attorney for the office of Greenberg Margolis Zeigler and Schwartz, and later at his own solo practice. He has served as counsel to the New Jersey Senate, and from 2001 to 2003 he was the Senate Parliamentarian. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked at Bryn Mawr College as Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean, as well as teaching as Duke University, Rutgers University, and Glassboro State College.[4]
