Stephen R. Heimann is a former judge for the Circuit Court of Bartholomew County, Indiana. He joined the court on October 1, 1991. He retired from the bench on December 31, 2016.[1]

Heimann received a B.A. from Wabash College and a J.D. from Indiana University. He has also attended the Indiana Graduate Program for Judges and the Indiana Judicial College.[1]

Heimann has served as chairman of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee, the Juvenile Justice Improvement Committee, and the Judicial Ethics and Professionalism Committee and president of the Indiana Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the Indiana Board of Law Examiners. He has also served as a member of the boards of directors of the Bartholomew County Bar Association, the Indiana Judicial Conference, and the Judges & Lawyers Assistance Program.[1]

2010 election

Heimann was re-elected to the 9th Circuit Court of Bartholomew County of the Indiana Circuit Courts in 2010. He received 1,727 of the votes.[3]
