Stephen Reasoner
Stephen M. Reasoner (1944-2004) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
Reasoner was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on December 19, 1987, to a seat vacated by William Overton; he was confirmed by the Senate on February 25, 1988, and received commission the next day.[1] He served as chief judge from 1991-1998. He assumed senior status on September 17, 2002, and served in that capacity until his death on August 14, 2004. Reasoner was succeeded in this position by Leon Holmes.
