Stephen Riedlinger
Stephen Riedlinger was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. He was first appointed to this position on May 29 1986.[1] Riedlinger retired on December 31, 2015.[2]
Education
Riedlinger graduated from Louisiana State University with his bachelor's degree in 1971 and later graduated from the Louisiana State University Law Center with his J.D. degree in 1977.[1]
Military career
From 1971 to 1977 Riedlinger served in the U.S. Navy Reserve.[1]
Career
After law school, Riedlinger was a Law clerk to Former Middle Louisiana federal judge Frank Polozola from 1977 to 1978. From 1978 to 1986, Riedlinger a private practice attorney in the State of Louisiana[1]
Federal judicial career
Riedlinger is the longest serving Magistrate in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. Riedlinger was first appointed to a eight-year term on May 29 1986 and was re-appointed to his second term in 1992 and later reappointed to third term effective May 29, 2002.[1]
