Stephen Robertson
Stephen Robertson was the Indiana Commissioner of Insurance from 2010 to 2021. Robertson was first appointed to the commission by Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) in October 2010. Gov. Mike Pence (R) re-appointed Robertson in January 2013.[1]
On April 13, 2021, Robertson announced he would resign as commissioner. He left office on June 1, 2021.[2]
Biography
Prior to joining the Indiana Department of Insurance (DOI), Robertson worked for the Conseco Insurance Group for nearly a decade. He was also general counsel of the Nebraska Department of Insurance and a military policeman. In 2008, Robertson became director of the Title Insurance Division at the DOI and went on to become deputy commissioner of the Title and Bail Bond Division.[3]
