I've been living in Indianapolis for 4 years. Since then, its only gotten worse. There is a lack of accountability and responsiveness from our elected leaders, and it's time for us to elect individuals who prioritize action over words and restore the trust of the community. Every promise made has been broken by our City Council or City Councilor Leader. The trust is lost and must be replaced with someone that values action more than words.
  • There is too much talking and not enough action. Something all of us learned a long time is city/govt projects either take forever to get started or they never finish. The district leader is missing in action and any effort to contact them is usually ignored. The city deserves better leadership. If the city refuses to do repairs then I will.
  • Flood Plain Not many residents know the Indianapolis Flood Maps are being reassessed and will be official in 2024. The flood map reassessments will force some out of their because of higher insurance rates or homes that didn't need insurance will now need it. Flood Insurance can be an extra $700-$3,900 a year. My goal is to get as many people off the flood plain as I can using Letter of Map Amendment process.
  • The people deserve to know what their taxpayer dollar are being spent on. The budget for 2023 is $100 million more than 2022. Last I checked Rockville and Washington is a crater obstacle course. The taxpayers should have a breakdown of what, where, and how their money is being spent. The city is more concerned about spending our money on downtown while District 16 is left with crumbs. There is no excuse for this.
Infrastructure improvements and fund transparency
Listen to the people of what they want. I drive around the district every weekend to see if their are road repair that are needed.
