Steve Arwood
Steve Arwood is the former Michigan Director of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in Michigan. He became acting director in December 2012, following Steven Hilfinger's resignation to join the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). Arwood was appointed as the permanent director on January 31, 2013, and served until his resignation in August 2014 to replace Hilfinger at the MEDC.[1][2][3]
Arwood also served as the Unemployment Insurance Agency Director and a LARA Deputy Director overseeing Employment Security and Workplace Safety.[4]
Biography
Prior to joining LARA, Arwood served as U.S. Regional Director at Windlab Developments, USA, LTD. He also served as deputy director at the Michigan Jobs Commission under Governor John Engler and director of the National Federation for Independent Business-Michigan.[4]
