Steve Benton was a justice of the peace for Precinct 3 in Williamson County, Texas. He served as a justice of the peace for the court from January 2000 until his retirement from the bench on February 28, 2013.[1]

Education

Benton received his undergraduate degree from Southwestern University.[1]

Career

Before he became a justice of the peace, Benton served as a police officer for the City of Georgetown and as a Texas State trooper for thirty-six years.[1]

Elections

2010

Benton won the Republican primary and was re-elected to Precinct 3 in Williamson County after running unopposed in the general election. [2]
