Steve Dixon (Washington)

Steve Dixon was a judge for the Adams County Superior Court in Washington.[1][2] He was appointed to this position by Governor Jay Inslee on December 20, 2013, to fill the vacancy left by the death of Brian H. Miller.[3] He was later re-elected by voters in 2014.[4] [5]
Dixon won re-election in 2016. He was unopposed in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Washington held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Candidates for district and superior court seats had to file for election by May 20, 2016. Primary elections were held on August 2, 2016, for six seats where more than two candidates filed for election. Incumbent Steve Dixon ran unopposed in the Adams County Superior Court nonpartisan general election for Position 1.[6]

Education
Dixon received his undergraduate degree in philosophy and environmental studies-biology from Whitman College in 1977. He received his J.D. from Willamette University Law School in 1980.[7]
Career
Dixon began his career as an associate of a law firm in Othello, WA in 1981. He then joined the Port Orchard-based firm Crawford, McGilliard, Peterson, Yelish & Dixon, where he eventually became a partner. He was then appointed to the Kitsap County Superior Court by then-Gov. Chris Gregoire on March 22, 2012. He served on that court until his appointment to the Adams County Superior Court in late 2013.[8]
