Steve Hilbig
Steven C. Hilbig was a judge for the 187th District Court in Bexar County, Texas. He was elected in 2014 for a four-year term.[1] Hilbig retired from the court in 2017.[2]
Hilbig was previously a justice on the Fourth District Court of Appeals. He was elected to this position on November 7, 2006,[3] and joined the court on January 2, 2007.[4] He ceased to serve when he lost his bid for re-election in 2012.[5]
Biography
Hilbig received his A.A. degree from San Antonio College in 1972, his B.A. degree in American studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974, and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas Law School in 1976.[4]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He defeated Stephanie R. Boyd in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 52.9 percent of the vote.

Hilbig was defeated by judicial candidate Luz Elena Chapa in the general election for the Fourth District Court of Appeals on November 6, 2012.[8][9]
