Campaign themes

2014

Holecko's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]

The Working People of Ohio

  • Excerpt: "Steve believes that Right to Work would be detrimental to the citizens of Ohio and District 14, and would do everything he could in the statehouse to make sure that such measures never become law in the great state of Ohio."

The Middle Class in Ohio

  • Excerpt: "Steve believes in the idea of broad-based prosperity using a state government that works for all. State government must find ways to help small businesses and even large corporations create jobs, but this must come with a guaranteed return on the investment."

Public Education in Ohio

  • Excerpt: "The promise of equal opportunity for all becomes meaningless unless every child has access to a quality public education. Steve would work to make this reality for the people of Ohio."

War on Women

  • Excerpt: " Steve also believes in complete reproductive freedom for women, and that personal choices about reproductive health are between a woman and her family and not a woman and a few dozen politicians."

Equality for All

  • Excerpt: "Steve believes that every Ohioan deserves to be treated equally. Whether this is the middle and working class, women, students in public schools, or members of the LGBT community seeking marriage, Steve believes every Ohioan must be treated equally."
