An effort to recall Supervisor Steve Kesterson in Inglis, Florida from his position was launched in 2014.[1] The recall was thrown out in court for being "legally insufficient."[2]
Recall proponent arguments
The leader of the recall, Carol Gibson, accused Kesterson of wanting to rid the town of mobile homes after he introduced legislation that allows for the condemnation and removal of a manufactured dwelling if it was older than 15 years old and had more than $500 worth of damage or was vacant for more than four months. Manufactured homes removed in this manner would not be allowed to be replaced by another manufactured home.[1][3][4]
