Campaign themes

2015

Le's website highlighted the following campaign themes:

Safety

  • Excerpt: "I will serve as an advocate for citizens’ crime concerns at programs which base police patrolling on community complaints."
  • Excerpt: "Partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits to provide city-sponsored after school sports programs and tutoring centers will create an educational environment for teenagers to play and learn. We need more safe drug-free places for young people to grow among good mentors and other ways to empower our youth."[5]

Infrastructure

  • Excerpt: "We need to keep city hall financially accountable for money set aside for road repairs and upgrades. Clean streets attract customers; safe streets keep businesses open later."
  • Excerpt: "More parks, soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, and more biking and running trails encourage healthier lifestyles and increased exercise. These areas serve as social meeting places for our friends and families and make our city greener."[6]

Economy

  • Excerpt: "Expedited permit and license processing times and more efficient city services make business growth easier. We should be able to track the progress of permit approvals online and see the results of inspections instantly, not four weeks later."
  • Excerpt: "I will make District F the center and focus of the city's program for economic growth. This district will be targeted for investment, tax incentive programs, and special initiatives to promote small businesses."[7]
