Steve Lukert
Steve Lukert was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 62 of the Kansas House of Representatives.[1]
Lukert served in the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 62 from 2006 to 2011.
Biography
Lukert retired from teaching after 32 years, and has been a farmer.[2]

Elections for the Kansas House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Steve Lukert was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Randy Garber was unopposed in the Republican primary. Garber defeated Lukert in the general election.[4][5]

Lukert ran for election in the 2012 election for Kansas State Senate District 1. Lukert ran unoppsoed in the August 7 Democratic primary and was defeated by Dennis Pyle (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]

2010
Lukert lost his bid for re-election to the 62nd District seat against Randy Garber (R). Lukert had no opposition in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[8]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Lukert was re-elected to the 62nd District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives, defeating Roy Claycamp (R).[9] Lukert raised $34,811 for his campaign, while Claycamp raised $16,920.[10]
