I have lived in the West Valley as a retiree from Washington State for 5 and a half years. My career was spent in the mechanical commercial industrial trades. Having built a stable business from scratch and later buying into another, I weathered economic storms and shouldered tremendous responsibilities - enduring the pressures of meeting payroll each week to sustain all my employees & their families. I have been a leader who has managed insulation projects on U.S. naval vessels, universities, refineries etc and volunteered my time in the community and on Executive Boards negotiating labor contracts for unions early on as well as employers once I crossed over. Those 40+ years produced experience and wisdom that greatly translates to the skills needed as a representative of THE PEOPLE of LD25 and the state of AZ. I am unafraid to be a bold conservative force that leads with common sense AND a sense of humility. My goal is to be THE most accountable, accessible, responsive representative LD25 has ever known - devoting FULL TIME focus to the duties thereof. Not using the position as a stepping stone to higher political aspirations.
  • I want voters to know... I strongly believe Article 2 Section 2 of our state Constitution which reads: All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights. It seems that too many politicians have it backwards. I recall two recent US Presidents caught on camera saying "I don't work for YOU!" & "YOU didn't build that!". Elected leaders are supposed to be PUBLIC SERVANTS humbly carrying out the will of the people. My first priority as a representative is to be connected to the people of LD25, it is not to be a legislator. Lawmaking is, of course, important but it must come AFTER the knowledge of the people.
  • I want voters to know... I got into this race because I believe we are living in perilous, critical times. The fact that I am willing to come out of a perfectly good retirement life and put myself out there is evidence that I am willing to devote the next 2 years to looking out for the safety, security & well being of Arizonans and the constituents of LD25 as a House Representative.
  • I want voters to know...I am a big fan of legal immigration. It is hard to watch a Naturalization ceremony without getting choked up but we must stop the invasion our country is experiencing at our southern border. The flow of fentanyl & other deadly drugs & child/sex/human trafficking MUST be eliminated. Entry must be totally sealed and illegal immigrants deported.
Sealing the border, responsible growth & affordable housing, preserving Empowerment Scholarship Accounts in Education, government spending
Truth. No matter what reaction it might elicit. No matter how uncomfortable it may be.
Age 15. Started as a box boy at Safeway. By senior year home life became precarious so I began working 40 hrs per wk stocking shelves & ordering freight from 10pm to 6am. My wages were enough to afford my own apartment and have a brand new VW Bug that my sweet mother co-signed for.
My current U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar. He goes the extra mile to explain his votes & get feedback & input from his constituents in numerous ways.
I'm in favor of it! Currently I would have to say sadly there is none.
