Steve McKeithen
Steve McKeithen was the chief justice on the Ninth District Court of Appeals in Texas. He was elected to this position on November 5, 2002.[1][2][3][4] He did not seek re-election in 2020.
Education
McKeithen received a B.A. in political science from the University of Houston in 1976 and a J.D. from the South Texas College of Law in 1984.[3]
Career
McKeithen began his legal career as a lawyer in private practice. He became a prosecutor with the Montgomery County Attorney's Office in 1989. He was appointed civil division chief of that office in 1992. He held that position until 2002, when he was elected chief justice of the appellate court.[3]
