Biography
Miller serves as Assistant Commissioner for the West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA). He first started with the WVDA in 1981 as a Dairy Specialist and then served as Marketing Specialist to Executive Director of Eastern Operations.[1]

2012
Miller ran for West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture in 2012. He lost against Sally Shepherd, Joe Messineo, Bob Tabb and Walt Helmick in the Democratic primary on May 8.[2] Kent Leonhardt was unopposed in the Republican primary. Mike Teets ran on the Republican ticket but withdrew in mid-February.
Incumbent Gus Douglass (D) did not run for re-election.
