I graduated with a BS from The University of Texas @ San Antonio where I also competed as a baseball student/athlete and team captain.
After UTSA I was fortunate enough to continue my early athletic dreams at the professional level. For three seasons I competed with the storied Boston Red Sox organization. Soon after, I began my career in the business world where I helped build a successful business in the engineered manufacturing industry serving the all major Texas metropolitan markets. I was blessed to gain the experience and trust of working alongside elite leaders and hundreds of team members throughout the state of Texas. For almost 20 years in that profession I become well versed in budgets, compliance, market entablements and expansion, human resources, vendor relationships, strategic planning and transaction negotiation.
At the same time I am also fortunate to have been twice elected as a volunteer local school board trustee where I currently serve as Secretary. Over the last 5 years I have been acutely involved with matters involving child well-being, taxes, compliance, long range planning, facility management and stakeholder relationships and outreach.- Public safety is paramount. We must be able to protect the people and property of our community. In a fast growing county, the ability to provide this essential service is the cornerstone to a vibrant county. The finest people in Texas live in Comal County and its of the utmost priority to ensure their safety.
- Infrastructure planning to meet the demands in a fast growing county are challenges that must be met. The hard work is needed to aid in the movement of citizens and goods/services. The current and future planning of development and infrastructure must be aligned to create a balanced community to meet the needs of its citizens. Fiscal responsibility encapsulates all of the work the county does. Every cent must have a transparent assignment as to the needs of the community and must be met with laser focus.
- Comal County is in the precious Texas Hill Country. As a commissioner I will advocate for preservation and conservation. Development should be strategic as it relates to the available and capable natural resources, infrastructure and public safety.
