Steve Oelrich
Steve Oelrich (b. September 29, 1945) is a former Republican member of the Florida State Senate, representing District 14 from 2006 to 2012. Redistricting led Oelrich to pursue the new 3rd District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Biography
Oelrich earned his A.A. in Police Administration from Saint Petersburg Junior College in 1968 and his B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University in 1970. His professional experience includes working as Sheriff of Alachua County from 1992 to 2006, Special Agent for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Police Officer for the City of Saint Petersburg.[1]

Redistricting led Oelrich to pursue the new 3rd District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. He lost to Ted Yoho in the August 14 Republican primary.[2]
