The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent James Kunane Tokioka defeated Dylan Hooser in the Democratic primary, while Steve Yoder was unopposed in the Republican primary. Tokioka defeated Yoder in the general election.[1][2][3]
